PCIe SSD Help/Ideas

I have an older (maybe a year old) 46Gb OCZ PCIe SSD that I use as my bootable drive. As you can imagine, after windows (7 Ultimate 64 bit), office, itunes, etc, there's not much space left.

Well, I decided to break down and buy a new 240Gb OCZ PCIe SSD. It's the second generation, so should be a bit faster but most of all, plenty of space.

I installed it tonight in the same/old PCIe slot and got nothing. The screen gave no indication that it was even on...no bios screen or anything. I removed it and started the computer without a hard drive. The bios screen came up as expected. I re-installed my old drive and it still works. Is the new drive defective or am I missing something?

The new drive must be defective if it's failing to POST. Try it in another computer just to be sure.

I don't have another desktop to try it in.

I just realized that it could be possible my motherboard may not support it. It's an Asus P5Q PRO that is a couple years old. But, it would be odd that it would support one drive and not the other.

Just went back and re-read my post. Failed to mention that the drive was bought from newegg as "manufacturer recertified".
