i know nothing about benchmark scores... it says my score for PCMark04 is 3298... can someone tell me if this is bad or good or what?

Encore, you know better than to bump after a couple of hours.
Futuremark provide an Online ResultBrowser at http://service.futuremark.com/orb/index.jsp. It will allow you to compare your score with other users'.

A score of over 2000 (I think it's somewhere around this number- or it is in 3DMark anyway) means programs from the year of the product (in this case 2004) are generally usable. If you took a more recent one (I don't know whether there is) you would get a lower score because some programs would have advanced and therefore need better systems.

Yes you must use the result browser to compare.

Anyway 2004 is outdated.
