PDF Problem

Hi again. I'm back with the question of the week. A few days ago, I experienced a problem I've had a few times before. When I print a PDF file, it would print out in Klingon (or some jibberish) instead of the English that I'm used to. It looks like a bunch of letters rammed together and I can't seem to find much correlation between what I was expecting and what the printer spit out.

Here's my questions: What causes this problem? Is it because it's on "document and markup" or just "document". Could it be in the program (Adobe, Foxit, etc.)? And secondly, what can I do to prevent this from occurring?

I'd appreciate any help you might have to offer (especially since I'm not fluent in Klingon).

So it prints bad in both adobe reader and foxit reader? Have you tried reinstalling the printer? not sure if that would help or not.

Well, John, I actually printed something off the other day and canceled the print because of the jibberish. But I printed it later, changing it from "document" to "document and markup" (or visa versa), and it printed just fine. Have you ever seen this before? It's not nearly the first time it's happened. It's happen several times before. The irritating part is when I print off a lot of stuff and then go to the printer and find one of these documents that is unreadable.

Do you have microsoft office installed? It seems "markup" is involved with that.

From what I read, you shouldn't be using markup unless you want to see changes made to the document or something like that. Just always select document.
