My dad just got me a HP P2-1033WB from walmart and it has this motherboard. The processor on the motherboard cannot handle the game I want to play (SWTOR) so I want to upgrade it if possible. My question is, Can I upgrad it? If I cant upgrade it, is there an alternative motherboard for this system?

Thanks,

I do not think it can be upgraded. I think its on a BGA socket, which is soldered to the motherboard.

If you wish to try though, try running either speccy or CPUz and give us the socket number to the processor, and we can find a replacement.

I have a windows 7 with the same type of motherboard but it's an AMD a40/a50 series FCH and the processor that's on it is an AMD E-300 with Radeon (HD) graphics and 1.3GHZ (yah I looked it up and it's in the thousands of it's kind, complete trash) but I can't really find what socket it's in. I'm not sure if he has the same kind or not but I was looking for some help?

The E series processors can not be upgraded without replacing the motherboard. They are meant to be a low power internet machine, something close to the Intel Atom. If you wan't something that can be upgraded then you need to go to the FM1 or AM3+ socket, or on teh intel side anything LGA775 or newer.
