hey guys...i recently got a usb boot of linux...and this is the first time i've ever used linux....so i was wondering what i need to know...and if someone will please take some time to explain to me the differences of using linux and windows...and are there specific computer languages that i need to know before i can see the full potential of the linux os? thanx

hey i downloaded the pendrivelinux and extracted to the usb...however when rebooted, it didnt work and i dont know why...it goes through all the steps but at the end it says system turned off$....help?

well what version did u download and can you be more specific about what happens? is there an error during bootup?

Something like that happened to me with that one. Just try a different Linux version. I recommend DSL, Puppy, or Slax.

so i got slax working...now can anyone tell me how to work linux? i'm a beginniner...
