pent 4 or pent 4 HT

Hey there.. again. I have almost figured this out.

Further browsing for a new mobo leads me to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813135208 Its CPU says Pentium 4 HT. I only have a Pentium 4.

Will it still work though I don't have the HT?

HT in that context means hyperthreading, your normal P4 will still work just fine

All that means is the motherboard will support HT. It doesnt mean you have to have it. Its just there if maybe someday you upgrade to a P4 HT you will be able to use it. Though i do not recommend upgrading to an HT P4 as there wouldnt be a huge amount of performance increase and the P4s are outdated anymore. Obsolete.
