I have a pentium D 820 a geforce 7300le and 1.5 gig of ram i get lag on fear does any one know why? should i upgrade to a core 2 duo or could it be video cards fault
 
The video card is causing the lag.

And there are two ways to stop the lag

First way is to lower the graphic setting down

Second way is to upgrade to a better video card, like 7600GS or 7600GT
 
Even with a XFX 7900GS Extreme on MAX graphics you will see times where it gets down to 18FPS (frames per second) normally not that low, but you need a better card than what I got to play it on max and be extremely happy with it. I'm a F.E.A.R. Junky myself. ;)
 
The video card is mainly whats causing the lag, because the 7300LE is not a gaming card. The Pentium D is also not the best processor for gaming.
 
Even my card, the wimpy 6800XT, will do better than the 7300. I would just get a cheapo 7600 to spice up your gaming.
