Hey guys,
I've been having some issues trying to convince a friend of mine about the processor he should buy. He has two in mind, which are:
Pentium D 940 3.20 GHz/800 mhz fsb/ 4mb L2 Cache
Core 2 Duo e6300 1.86 GHz/1066 mhz fsb/2mb L@ Cache.
I'm almost certain that the E6300 is a better processor due to the 64-bit Architecture and It's able to process more per cycle, therefore it doesn't require a higher speed. However, my mate still thinks that higher speed means a faster processor. What are the differences between these two, and what are the performance differences? Are they noticeable?
