Performance question

Which would theoretically perform better, 8 GBS of DDR2 ram at 1066 MHZ, or 4 GBs of DDR3 ram at 1333 MHZ. I'm thinking the DDR2 would, but I want to make sure that I use the best memory that my system is capable of handling. Thanks

you really have no use at all for 8 gigs of ram on a typical gaming system, even 4 is often not fully used.
what're you using the ram for?

I actually use it for audio production and running 3D programs like MAYA usually.

I would think that price efficiency the 8 gigz of ram would be better. As far as performance I would trust the opinion of someone much wiser than myself.
