Permanent Email Fowarding

Our family is stuck with 0.7mpbs internet download speed and I've been looking to get a new service. However, my Dad runs his business through an email that is hosted by our ISP ([email protected]). Is there any way that we can permanently have this address forward incoming emails to our new ISP email (or other email like GMail). He uses Outlook Express. I'm open to any suggestions, I need faster internet over here :P Thanks!

If you cancel your service through verizon, your email account will be closed as well.

Yeah, but I was just wondering if there was any easy way to retrieve the emails from the closed account. Any way that's easier than having my Dad contact all of his clients about his new email.

Not after your account gets closed no. Just email all your contacts and tell them the new email address.

That was a hard fail for me to learn. Lost all my stored messages. Worst part - my ISP and Yahoo had merged, so Yahoo was taking care of all the mail for ISP. I had my Yahoo account linked with my ISP email. Somehow, when my ISP disconnected my email, it caused my Yahoo account to get all f***ked up, and then I could never log into my Yahoo account.

Case in point - never use an email address from your ISP again. Gmail is king.

Haha yeah, well I think I found another plan from Verizon so maybe we can have faster internet without switching ISPs. We're on a 1.5mbps plan, but the cables are messed up in our area so we get 0.7. I found a 7.1mbps plan from the same ISP, I'm going to call and check to see if it's just not a more expensive 0.7 mbps plan. Haha
