phanom x2 x4 940 on asus mother board

i wanted to ask if it would be possilbe to use am2+ socket on am2 motherboard.
Here is what i want to use. I currently have this mother board and want to get a new cpu. can someone tell me if this would work?

Depends on what you have now.

Keepiing the same board.

X2 - 7750BE or 7850BE

X3 - 8750BE

X4 - 9850BE or 9950BE

The 9950 Phenom I is your only decent choice. Honestly I would upgrade your motherboad though, it's old.
