how do i know whether i have the Phenom IIX4 955 (HDX955FBK4DGI) or the Phenom IIX4 955 (HDZ955FBK4DGI)

If it says c3 under revision in cpu-z then you gots a "gm" Just like the pig said.

Neither one of those are C3 stepping. The first one is a rare OEM locked/non BE C2 model 955. The second one is a 125W C2 955BE
