Phone interfering with internet?

I have wireless internet and SOMETIMES, when we get an incoming call, we get a connection interruption with our internet. We used to have a cordless phone, but we just changed to a corded phone and we're still having the problem. It doesn't happen all the time, but is there a way to avoid this? We usually get the interruption for anywhere from 30-60 seconds. We just have a basis $10 corded phone so it's nothing elaborate either.

Any suggestions on a fix for this?

No, we don't have DSL. It's wireless internet with an external antenna.
You need to have some sort of broadband if this is your home (WiMax is a different story). Yes you have wireless internet, but your wireless router is most likely connected to the internet either via DSL or cable.

Oh sorry, I think it's DSL then. So what do I need to do to help with this problem? How do I put "filters" on my phone, if that's what I need to do?

Call your DSL company or stop by Radio Shack, it's a small filter that plugs between the wall jack and your phones.

I only have one phone. I did call my local Radio Shack and they carry them, so I'm going to pick one up there. The person I spoke with knew exactly what I was talking about so I should be all set. Thanks for the help!
