photo cd/dvd -problem -vcr want read??

I burnt photos off my comp onto a dvd+d. My older dvd players plays them ok, but a newer one, Magnavox MWD 2205 want play them. The manual says it supports DVD+R but not photo cds. Should it read photos on a dvd+r? I used Picasa 2 to burn the dvd+r, is there other software to use that will read on dvd=r player?

Using some different software won't affect the burner's ability to read, unfortunately. I'm not sure why it won't read photo stuff, if you save the photos like you would any other data, it should read it fine... Maybe someone else could help you out here. (are you saving the photos as you would papers, and other files, or in a format that would have a menu or something?)
 
Some DVD players just don't have the ability to read photos. They are just set to run MPEG videos... So if it can't run a photo disk, it probably won't be able to load a DVD either.
