Photos opening and closing

Hello...

I have a client who uses the Photos program on his Windows 10 computer. When he opens Photos it displays a blank black screen and then closes. It is only open for a few seconds.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this without changing the whole computer?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I have already tried pretty much every fix the internet has too offer (which seem to be the same on every website). I was hoping the someone might have some first had experience in fixing these kind of problems?

Hi johnb35,

After a few nights of Googling etc, I phoned some local IT guys. After a few calls, one guy told me to check for app updates and pointed me here: How to troubleshoot Microsoft Photos in Windows. A few minutes later and all was working again.

I am returning the computer to my client on Tuesday - this will make one octogenarian very happy!

I am just amazed that nothing I read suggested this simple fix.

Either way, thanks for your advice.
