Physics card

No it useless and a waste of money, you will not gain any performance using physics card. Also, very few games support physics card.

By the way, nvidia 8800 series and the upcoming ATI R600 can do physics calculation.

Physics card were just overnight novelty products, they are virtually obsolette by the time they hit the shelves, because quad core is coming out and some graphics cards can do what it does anyway, so its a power drainage as well as a HUGE burden on your hip pocket.

Physics cards are new to the market, and they are not going to go away. Once the newer games such as UT2007 come out, every game will support the PhysX card. They are not going away because of quad cores and the fact that the G80 can do some physics.

Yeah they are not going away, but they are not taking off either. They have been superseded already by quad cores and slis, so it might not want to go away, but the market will force it too. The price does not justify the performance gain if there are any.
