physics of a computer

ok first of all hello everybody, and thanks for your time and help ahaid of time

so what im trying to do is actually pretty big... what i need from you guys is pretty simple

i want to leard how a computer works... not just what goes where but why it works... how does silicone and wires turn into a computer.. i want to know each component, how and why each piece of it accomplishes what is does...

i dont expect anyone to go into that much detail on the forum, i just want yall to find a website out there for me that explains all of this and post some links

It's an incredibly vast subject particularly if you really want to know how things work in detail - binary maths, materials science, electronics, communications, graphics, manufacturing technology. The list is endless.

If you were already reasonably versed you would know yourself what to look for. It's difficult for us to know what level you are at. There are general guides but for more detail it may be best to pick a component and work down through the component parts. Google as you go.

Example:
Motherboard
basic electronic components - resistors, capacitors, chokes, diodes, transistors, transformers
basic electrical and electronic circuits
transistors - basic operation and circuits
integrated circuits and cpu - how made and how they work
simple binary maths
serial and parallel communications

Unless you have a reasonable science background, you will be quickly lost. If you Google something you should find articles at the level you are at. Most people learn informally by reading up on something that catches their interest.
 
Computers are both software and hardware. On the very lowest level, they are binary. 0 ot 1. On or off. that controls various functions and so on, then you go up and eventually get your operating system.
