physix or no physix

by the way, what is folding?...i know its something nvidia cards can help do but i dont understand what its for...can any one explain please, and i think im going to use the gtx260 for now, overclock it to a 275 standard and let the 4890 collect dust for now. but, how far can i overclock the 4890?...what could i compare it to on the nvidia side when overclocked..thanks again for all the help

My Nvidia cards have always overclocked more % compared to ATI's, especially the memory speed.
I believe the GTX260 has more options as well. EVGA has a utility to increase core voltage for gtx260's so you could overclock higher if you wanted (just watch the temps).

BTW, I super highly recommend to use EVGA precision tool for overclocking the gtx260.
