But few games support them ( I think only one game can't think of the game right now) and the pci slot that requires it to go in makes the card slow. In the future thought it might be a nice addition to a system.
I dont personally, but i've seen benchmarks and reviews on them, and they only give you a few fps advantage in some games, and actually lowers performance in others.daygowop said:thats what i figured, but do u kno anyone that actually has one and has experienced its performance?
The high end nVidia and ATI cards are horrible at physics processing when compared to an Ageia PhysX processor. Not in your case, but if you're thinking of buying a high end card for physics only, dont get it, it's not worth it.fade2green514 said:ut2k7 will support them. of course i dont think they'll be required to run highest settings for quite some time.. with the right processor.
i think i may keep my extra 7800gt around for awhile just because of physics processing becoming more popular. wouldn't want to lose any money! lol
Here's an example of a game with a PhysX card and without one. The one with the PhysX card is on the bottom, and the one without it is on top.daygowop said:ok so basically they just make everything look alot better and feel more realistic, but in doing so they give u lower fps and they are not worth the money yet?
