Ive been reading about physx and im not sure i understand it. At the moment i have 2x 8800gt sli. In nvidia control panel i get the option of enabling sli and physx at the same time, which i thought was not possible without a 3rd card. Is it better 4 me to have sli enabled and physx disabled, until i get a 3rd card?

I dunno if it makes a difference but i have a 3-way sli motherboard.

if i were to have a third card would this improve performance? If so what card can handle physx well and how much perfomance would i gain?

You usually don't gain much performance from adding a 3rd card. It's usually a 10%-15% performance increase. 3-way SLI is for when you have too much money to spend on video cards :P

yeah ive never intended on having 3way sli, i just wanted the extra room in between the 2 cards for extra cooling lol

You can only Tri SLi a 8800GT if your card has the 3 way SLi Bridge, which in most cases for a 8800GT, many manufacturers don't have them except for Asus.
