Picking a motherboard

Hi, last year I was going to build a PC and had all the stuff picked out but at the last minute I bailed on that and bought a dirt bike (never regretted that decision, the dirt bike's so much fun :D )

Anyway. I am building one now

I plan to use this processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819103533 but need help picking a mother board. I would like to use 1gb of ram. As I remember from last years research, the on-board sound is sufficient. Although I would like to use a graphics card(I think I need an AEG slot for that). I would like it to be under $120(USD). I will be using the PC for homework, surfing the web, streaming videos and downloading music for my ipod. Also probably some light video editing and maby occasionally a game, but I am not really into PC games.

Thanks,
Colin

sorry I meant AGP. That one seems OK but got some less that impressive reviews and I think I can afford a little better, or do you think that's plenty good enough for my use? Also it uses DDR ram and someone told me that was no good, is that true or was I misinformed?

Is PCI-express better than AGP for video cards?

How much exactly can u afford? :)

Theoretically? Yes (twice the bandwidth). Realistically? No (since AGP8X bandiwdth is barely realized the extra bandwidth PCIE doesnt really matter all that much). Practically? Yes (agp is on its way out; well at least for the high end market)

Yes PCI-E is a better choice because of price, performance and future upgrades.
Wel price only matters if you're dealing with NativePCIE cards ... take a natively AGP card and sell the PCIE edition of it ... it'll cost more. :)
