Pics - Reorganized!

I decided to install an old sound blaster audigy, due to the onboard driver being lost after resuming from sleep mode, which caused me to play around with the fans a bit. I also installed a brand new Arctic Freezer 7 pro this time its royal cheapness didnt break on me thank god, that thing is seriously way too fragile, it cools really well and those have been my temps today. after installing the freezer with the stock paste, the temperature did drop lower than with AS5, not surprising, getting the right amount of as5 is not that simple, plus this isn't the fan you want to remove and reinstall multiple times to get everything right.

My question is, is that a good place to put the pci slot fan, I turned it upside down so that it would suck the hot air from above the video card, being that heat rises my mobo temp dropped as well thanks to me doing that.

Does everything look right? Is there anything I should be changing in my setup to maximize cooling efficiency?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

p.s. I know the PSU cables are a real mess but i tried many things and due to all the fans in this thing, there is no way to get things neater.

Carefully cut the individual strips of the ide cables could help.
Search the forums for a tutorial, its pretty easy to do and helps alot.

I have the same PCI-slot fan, which I put under the GPU fan. I recently disconnected it because I noticed it was the loudest thing in my case (out of my ZALMAN9700LED, 2 case fans, PSU fan). I also didn't notice it making much of a difference, so it was basically pointless.

Thanks for the response guys, I improvised and used electrical tape around the wires to free up some space, worked like a charm, Mobo temps dropped about 5 degrees C, Ill update the pics tomorrow. thanks

Just use electrical tape instead of that green stuff
Cut very carefully.

Thats the tutorial i was talking about...skidude (i think) made a good one on these forums but i couldnt find it.

I forget who i saw (on these forums) do it but you can also put thin black foam (maybe came with mobo or something) on the exposed metal on the drive bays and the bottom of the case. I looks nicer than metal imho.

Just be careful,
when i did it at first, it seemed easy so i started going fast and accidently split the cable.
Patience is crucial. Take your time and you should be fine.
They work great if youre sucessful.

Post pics once you get it organized :D

Haha! I do that IDE trick when I'm bored... I got about 6 air-resistant IDE cables lying around my room...
