What kind of software would be easy to take say a face and put on another body of maybe another family member. Im having a hard time with paint shop pro. Something easy but have good results for what i want it for. Its really to play with the grand kids and get them revved up.

Uhm, i would suggest Gimp as a good alternative (also, it's open source). But if you want more proffesional software i would definitely go with Photoshop.

I have photoshop elements and paint shop pro. My wife uses these. I will try Gimp. Likely easier.
thanks

Yeah you should be able to do it with GIMP.

If you have Photoshop Elements why not use that? I don't have PsE (I have Ps Extended), but I reckon you could do it in Elements.

I found the manuals that was in pdf for both. I will take a look at these. I also downloaded Gimp. thanks

We have to use Photoshop Elements at school and it is AWFUL to use compared to extended. Microsoft Works PictureIt! was good in the day, think it has been discontinued in 2003 however...

Ah ok, I've never used PsE, but I imagine what the OP wants to do can be done on PsE.

I have used photoshop elements to move heads around, or place another person in a photo, but it is not something that is intuitive. I originally just found some tutorials online with Google on how to use it. These days you can even get lucky and find youtube videos that show how to do stuff like this.

Basically you use a Lasso tool to outline the thing you want to copy, then use Copy and Paste to paste the item in the second photo. I use the keyboard shrotcuts for that.

The selection tool is a bit hard to use with a mouse, but if you enlarge the area you are trying to outline it can be easier. Wacom tablets make it easier, I like to do it on a old Windows Tablet PC that has a Wacom type Pen to write on the screen.

Just used Photoshop Elements to take a Martian vehicle out of a old movie, and place that in a photo taken by one of NASA's Mars rovers.
