Hey guys. I have Adobe PhotoShop CS2, and i was wondering how i would make a picture that didnt have a box around it. like take this face for example... :D . Theres no box around it. so how would i make a pic and have it so its just the pic. I am asking because i have Counter Strike Source, and i want a spray that will look like a painting on the wall. lol, its hard to explain. Any ideas?

If you have a square image and you crop it in to a circle you will have a square with a circle in it, and white surrounding it if you save it as say jpeg\GIF it will be a circle,
try opening it back up in adobe it should be surrounded by white and gray checkers

Thanks. but im still confused a little. haha. So if i draw a pic in paint. then save it as a jpeg , and then put it in adobe. it will just be the image no surouding whiteness. lol???

ive seen it being done but i cant remember the steps. all i remember is that the transparent area had a checker pattern to it

crop u can only crop a square in CS2.. so thats not help of to u..u have to have a good mouse. . not a dead one that skips. lol.. well, go to:

file>new
background contents> select "transparent"
select a big enough size for you picture

now.. if u already had that picture u wanted.. copy and paste it into the new transparent one u just made.... now open the eraser menu by holding onto the eraser w/ ur mouse n select background eraser if u want good results..
now, delete the contents of the background(easier if it is one solid color, if not.. try just using the normal eraser) and smooth the edges with the regular eraser one u are done..
u should be all set..crop it down n then just save it as a .GIF! not jpeg or any other format..

i prefer just using the regular eraser and having the picture maginified 300-600%.. so i can see the pixels. its much easier that way..
