When running a game for some time it will freeze... Windows 2k, 128MB RAM... What is the problem??? and when restarted, the power light will just blink, and will not boot.

maybe it could be overheating?

i dunno just a guess...what game you trying to play on that old timer?

Need for speed Porsche Unleashed, MonsterTruck Rumble.. and just staying on the desktop... anywhere anytime it will freeze. Even if its just idling... At idle PC Wizard showed temps of 22C.. so I doubt that it wiould be overheating. I have been running a CD memtest86 and hav been getting errors on the RAMs... 3 sticks of 64MB.

hmm...i would think overheating would cause it to keep freezing OR maybe the hard drive is playing up.

But it could be the ram as you said memtest came up with errors.

Can you post a screenshot of CPU-Z?
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

I would but my camera always takes pictures 700+ KB, and thats too big to post... Here:

Slot 1 700MHz P3 W/ Heatsink - UPDATE: Have added a 50mm (I think) fan to it. Moves fair amount of air.

192MB PC100/133 (maybe even some PC66???) - 64MB x 3

Quantum Sirocco around 2.5GB

Floppy Drive

2x same CD Drives

1x KHypermedia 48x24x48 writer

ATI Rage Fury Pro 128 32MB AGP

I will try to get pics as soon as possible, if possible.

Need for speed porsche cd box requirements:
Windows 98/95 (NT and 2k not support)
200MHz or faster intel MMX or K6 AMD
32MB RAM
4x CD Rom
150Mb Free HD space
4MB PCI or AGP with fll direct3d support
DX7
Kybrd
Mouse

... I think my computer meets all requirements...

wait dont you have to have all the same speed ram??? i know they can be different sizes but im pretty sure they cant be different speeds

PC2100, PC2700, and PC3200 are all compatiable. If you have a 3200 stick and an 2100 stick the 3200 will run at the 2100's speed.

this is just my own experience....but everytime i have mixed RAM speeds it has caused freezing.

i suggest using the same speed RAM....again just from my own personal experience

Personally I thknk its the overheating issue, my P3 400MHz at stock speeds had 2 small fans... at ooverclocking to 533MHz, I had to put an 70mm fan on the HSF on the side with 2 screws from a lawnmower just to keep it at around 50C idle.... and a 700MHz with no fan?

if it randomly shuts off then i would say heating...but if it's just freezing then i dunno...i've never heard of a PC freezing cuz the mobo gets too hot...usually it just shuts off then u can turn it on again until it reachs the critical temp again.

MOPE (My Own Personal Expereince)
