My friend wants to get a cheap video card to get away from his integrated GeForce 7050 (Foxconn 7050/610i motherboard).
So i was looking at cheap video cards, and came across a 8400GS Open Box video card (yes, i know what open box means). I was looking at the specs, and come to see it has about the same specs as a 8600gt. Should I buy the card for him?
The good thing is, he has onboard graphics so he can install the card, then go install the drivers off of nVidia's site.
Heres the card:

Only thing is, my friend has a VGA monitor, and the card only supports DVI. Should I buy a DVI Male, to VGA Female adapter for him?
