All of you guys who have PIPEX as there isp, just thaught you may like to know, that pipex is owned by tiscalli now.

They both decided not to tell anyone about this merger. This means that in the future your ip may have tiscalli at the end of it.

They have or shortly will be transfering all customers to there network. This seems to be a bad thing by my experience as im already experiencing major slow downs on an 8meg connection i have been getting downloads at speeds of less than half a kbs (i kid you not).

Though it has calmed down now to something like normal service, large downloads (say anything over 10meg) has what i would consider big issues as the speed of the downloads throttles up and down all the time, thats not the worst it can randomly pause (not fantastic for gaming). I hope this is just a problem while migrating customers.

They are changing us all from ipstream to LLU where applicaple, i hope its not datastream where its not applicable.

Anyone know if this LLU is better/worse/same as ipstream??

Is anyone else in the same situation or even know if tiscalli is any good.
Just feels abit underhand that all!

who knows it may be better in the long run once all migration work is complete, so far not good, but hope they can make good of this. After all looking at there website they seem to be one of the biggest isp's available in the uk so they must have something to offer.

The main question i wanted to know is are these guys any good? are there LLU connection going to be better than the old ipstream system? although my connection problems seem to have improved over what it was over the past few days can i expect things to be as good as they have been untill about a week or two ago?

ohhh welll back on form, isp has reverted back to pipex now, ssssmmmmoooooottthhhhhh just the other 7.7meg and ill be there.
