Ok so i just traded my desktop for a laptop and now im frustrated.
1st of all the laptop is the Toshiba Satellite X205-S9800

Now my 1st issue is the built in wireless is slower than dial up. We have DSL, and my desktop with a Linksys network adapter was really fast. The laptop hooked directly up to the cat-5 line is really fast just the built in wireless is a snail. Any ideas?
I finally got frustrated and just ordered a usb wireless adapter off ebay, although its not hear yet.

My 2nd issue is i HATE vista, what a pos operating system.
I tired installing XP and it stoped because it couldnt see my hard drive, also all the drivers for my laptop on Toshiba.com are for Vista. Is there any way to get XP on this?

The reason for it been slow, is probably all the free stuff they put on which slows everything down.
Why do you hate Vista?

ok, question.

Please tell me full honistly why you hate vista. im running it right now and i would not dare go back to xp. So many people say that i really would like to know exactly what makes it suck in you point of vies :)

I love vista!! If you cant get vista running right then YOU are obviously doing something wrong. People who cant get vista to run right dont belong on a pc. I say this too many times. I am sick of people bashing Vista for their own dumb fault.

C: it's my fault.

LOL, and you call other people fan boys.

There are so many factors with running windows. Obviously Microsoft can't develop and OS to run on every single hardware configuration the exact same, stable, or even well. Given the limited resources MS gives developers you can't hold them 100% accountable for crappy drivers, though I would like to hold them accountable.

You aren't even close to an expert at anything, therefore by your logic you shouldn't be allowed to do anything. You should be banned from even using the internet since you don't understand how it fully works.

How about offering something constructive for once, you know some actual good help or advice?

Let the man (or woman) run his laptop the way he wants to. No need to bash him for not liking Vista. Plenty of people hate Vista, does that make them all computer illiterate? I highly doubt that. I don't have a problem with Vista, personally but I have friends who do..its just a matter of choice.

So you are bashing me b/c I know how to run Vista? Doesnt make sense. Okay so some issues are not people's faults like drivers and such but most of the error's are created from people just being dumb. People bash on Vista so much and I dont know why. Vista runs great. I am no Fanboy, I am just sick of people bashing Vista for no reason.

I could rip your "vista is great argument" to tiny pieces if I wanted to. However, it is a personal choice to run Vista, and there are numerous documented known problems with Vista, just google it.

I am saying that most of your posts in the last few days plus this one pretty much sums up that you are a case of the melting pot calling the kettle black.

It seems that everyone doesnt want to take the plunge and use Vista. It also seems that you are all xp fanboys? Fair enough?

Vista is a preference so stop bashing me and saying that its bad until you actually have your own experience with it.

Not necessarily true. Computers should be user friendly. Vista is still a new OS and may have some issues.
Further, it seems to me that the majority of your posts are insults, or arguments. Maybe you could tone it down a little?

Uh, I work for public education and at my old job we had an MSDN subscription and an unlimited site license to all Windows OSes for the most part. I was running vista before the public beta was released. I got a copy for free when it first came out a year ago, and I had it on a test machine at my job for a long time.

I have been using vista a lot longer than you have, just probably not as frequently since I don't touch that machine every day. I mainly use Macs because that is what I support and my work buys me Macs. I have a PC desktop at home that runs XP, but I have no need or desire to put Vista on that machine at home.
