Hi guys or wizards - I fixed the blue screen of death, however i still have one more problem

I am in need of serious help here. My PC is custom built, so components are some new and some old ish. I will list the specs below for references.

AMD Quad 9500
Corsair 4GB DDR2 800
Gigabyte MA78LM-S2H AM2+ / AM3
Samsung Spinpoint 1TB Hardrive
Sapphire ATI Readeon HD 5770
Thermaltake Tough Power 1000W PSW
LG DVD/RW - Standard

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Here is the problem
It's been fine ever since. However recently I starting to experience my monitor turns pitch black, the PC is still running the fans are still on.
I attempted to update all drivers (except bios) because I do not know how to.
The latest graphics driver etc etc. And it is still happening, the oldest component I have in there is the PSW which was about 3 years ago almost. At this stage I do not know which component is causing this failure. CPU? Motherboard? PSW? Windows 7 corrupted? GPU?

Any help would be much appreciated as my head is about to explode about this matter

Thank you very much

I assume this happens after you worked for a while?

Something overheats I guess.

Did you open the case and checked the fan on your graphic card? Does your monitor stays on or does it switch off?
