Pixel 2/XL 2

My Nexus 6P is starting to show some age so I am considering an update. Battery life is going downhill and the phone shuts off quite a bit sooner. My options with project fi are limited to a Moto x4 or the new pixel line.

Has anyone here given the pixel 2 line up a try? The XL seems great with the higher resolution screen and front facing stereo speakers. The pixel is quite a bit cheaper and better form factor for my needs.

It will be a tough choice. Has anyone else been able to make a pick?
 
My P2XL is ordered and is set to ship sometime next week. I'll let you know what I think.

P.S. I'm upgrading from a 6P I bought used on Swappa back in January
 
That has been disappointing to see. It would be rough doing a warranty exchange immediately on a device. Sounds like it is best to wait a few months until issues are resolved.
 
LG needs to get their stuff together, they've had quality control issues on nearly every phone since the G3 it seems.

the one plus 5 looks nice, definitely much better value from a hardware perspective

I actually went ahead and ordered the Essential Ph-One last night. The price dropped $200 the other day.

Not a fan of that camera cutout on the screen but at least when it renders video it excludes that area and looks ok
I’m happy with my iPhone 7 Plus for now, but if they release airpods with Bluetooth 5.0 , then I will definitely upgrade next year.
