i just got a new 19 inch flat screen monitor, and i had a 15 inch flatscreen and i was running it at 800x600 with a radeon x700 pro, when i ran these settings with the 19 inch the graphics looked blocky and bad. So i changed the pixels to 1024x768 and the game ran more laggy, why is this???¿¿¿

because theres more to process. running it on a higher resolution is only going to make the video card work harder. you might also need more ram.

i have a 1.25 gigs of ram but call of duty 2 is a demanding game for graphics, thanks for the help ill just turn down some of the quality

RAM really makes no difference in your gamming performace. It's all based around your processor but mostly your video card.

not to deny the cpu gpu being the most important part to gaming, but ram is still a huge part of it aswell. You try playing FEAR with an FX57, 2x 7800GTX512's with only 512mb ram, and then try with 1gb and then again with 2gb, you'll see a great improvement each time, and the 512mb might only be able to run it on the lowest settings even with your fx57 and 7800gtx's.

That would make sense but i think your going a little too far with the 7800gtx 512 in SLI. Im pretty sure they would benefit the game with the lack of system ram and in turn be very playable. Make it 1 7800gtx 512...with 512 mb of ram and then it wont be very playable.

no they wouldn't. How would that make up for a lack of ram?

and i think modoman is saying the X800GTO would be an option xxamdxx could try to improve his preformance.

If you read closley modoman wrote (Geforce x800gto)...whats up with the Geforece part.
