just because it has v3 doesnt mean you dont need to upgrade for a while.
 
no, but it doesn't mean he will have to upgrade soon. People still run SM2 and even 1.1 cards

i know he wont, but i was just letting him know that there are other factors to consider when deciding to upgrade or not. Like some people think that the size of the memory is all that matters, so they may think that a 256MB 9200SE would be a good card.
 
i duno if this link will work... but it was very useful i saved it to my computer. its got GPU stats for most mainstream video card. it helped me decide what video card to get!
