Placing an IR onto a case?

So guys here is my question:

I just bought a capture card and with it comes an IR Emitter. I need help deciding where to place the IR Emitter. The following are pictures of my case. Wouldn't mind some suggestions where i should put this thing so i can use the remote.

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this. Still haven't figured out an area that will kind of "hide" the IR emitter and still be functional. I was thinking inside the case aimed towards the window, that way you can just point the remote to the window. What do you guys think?

Well, you have lot of light there, so anywhere you place it, it will likely be visible.

I don't know how well IR will get through your window, you might try some tests before permanently placing it.

What does it look like? Is there any way to mount it in one of the spare drive covers in front?

How big is the IR emitter? Maybe take a picture of it in reference to something like a pen. Not sure if you'd be receptive to this idea but you could drill a hole in the case somewhere in a discrete location (assuming the sensor is somewhat small) and mount
the sensor from the inside of the case sticking through the hole.

Unless your case is in plain site, you'd probably want to put the IR emitter somewhere easy for you to point at, e.g. on the table. I wouldn't mount it as if you ever need to move your case in the future you' might need to move the receiver.
