Planning on building a computer - Help needed

Hello, I'm planning on building a new computer in about 2-3 months and just want to plan ahead and get as much info as possible. I'm not too good with the technical/hardware part of computers so I leave the challenge up to you. My main worry is compatibility issues and since this will be the first computer I'll work on alone, I need all the help I can get.

I'm looking for a computer between 800 - 1100 +/- 150 USD. I'll be using it for a variety of purposes ranging from, internet, movie editing, using Photoshop/Flash, gaming.

Wants:

Large hard drive 1.5 Tb+

Graphics card: I want to be able to play most games at around 50+ fps (excluding crysis 2)

Sound card: mid/high end sound card would be preferable

RAM: 4+ Gb

Processor: Since I'm kind of on a budget any AMD 3.2 Ghz processor will do

MoBo: Any that is compatible with my previous specifications

Power supply: This one is very important as I'm sure you know. I'm fine with paying quite a bit for this item.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021&Tpk=nine+hundred (Case shown in the step by step guide done by "[-0MEGA-]") It seems solid and affordable

Cooling: Don't want to bother with liquid cooling in case anyone may be wondering. I would like as many damn fans as you can fit.

Since I'm quite tired I wont write much more. I would appreciate it greatly if anyone could point my in the right direction. As I'm planning on using this computer for the next 4-5 years spending a little more than my "budget" would be fine. If anyone could suggest compatible parts I would be very grateful. Ive chosen a case already, and If I've missed anything, sorry I'm ultra tired. Again thanks, you guys taking time to personally help me is very much appreciated. Also excuse me if im being a little vague and crude with what I'm looking for. Hopefully by the morning I'll have a good load of questions to answer!

*The things in color are items that if I had money to spare would I like to be upgraded*

*yawn* and goodnight everyone

Thanks again!

For ATI GPU, Id suggest HD6850-69 series...theyre great for gaming.... :) But you will need a decent CPU as it will definitely make a difference in your system. Id go with a Quad Core...Phenom 2, x4, 955 :)

The motherboard you used is a socket 1155 intel motherboard.

For Motherboard you can go with a Gigabyte AM3 UD3.
As for a GPU if in Budget you can try a GTX570 or a and HD6950.
Other wise the above build is good.

Do not get the above motherboard. It is not compatible with the AMD CPU.

The amd 1090t would be really good for your purpose. For movie editing and all that stuff. But you will need an application which will utilize all the cores then the processor will work wonders.

AH yes, it is now fixed...my bad..I had the rite 1 open in another tab...wrong copy :) thanks for the "Edit"

Downgradin would not be good since he wants to edit videos and the 6 core would be really good for that. And also Dual cards are never recomended. He could rather get a single card. But a 6870 will be sufficient.

This price doesn't sound too shabby for the specifications, as I don't know the most about graphics cards, just to clarify, this graphics card can handle almost all games with relative ease right? Also, my current hard drive is 500 GB, Its filled to the brim, and am constantly having to delete stuff. So my question is should I just get 4 Tb? or start with 2 and if the time comes where I run out of space get another 2 Tb? What are your guy's experience's with large-ish hard drives? Also, does anyone know if the fans that come with the case are of pretty high quality? And also If I could possibly get a better processor and or GPU preferably GPU though as 6 cores seems to be fine for my current needs. So, and GPU recommendations?

Again,

Thanks everyone for all of your help, specifically jd132 and mihir :good: :)
