Hi, im in BC and im looking for a new video card. Im not sure which to buy and i need one that can run super good on half life 2 and counter strike source but the maximum price is $280.
Right now ive seen 6600GT that i want but does Canada have
6600GT with AGP?
If not, is there any other shops that sells and ships to canada?

so does anyone have any suggestions on which video card i should buy? i need one that is good for Cs Source and HalfLife2 and ETC :D

By the way, does that 6600GT work with 4x? it says 8x but my motherboard is 4x..

best bang for the buck would be 5900xt. or a 9800....personally 5900xt is cheaper, and can be modded to run as 5950 or 5900u...just they tend to have 2.8ns memory instead of 2.2ns memory.

hmm, ive seen many ppl talking about modding 5900xt, but how do u do that? how much is it? wheres the cheapest place to buy it?

HL2 isnt that backbraking of a game :P The 66GT is a respectable card :)

Yes

Not if the 66GT costs the same :)

Yes but its important to note that success of such OC/mods depends on how fast the memory on the 5900XT memory is. Most 5900XTs come with memory that at best will do 800 to 850 mhz overclocked. To run at 5900 Ultra or 5950 speeds your memory needs to do 900 mhz or faster. Most XTs are not equiped with the 2.2 ns memory required to run this fast. Theres more info here if anyone's interested http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?threadid=85394
It is also important to know that you cant mod thw 5900XT to a 5900Ultra -- you can OC it to the 5900ULtra's speeds but thats pretty much it. Ok so I lied. Some people can get lucky with their 5900XTs but its highly dependent on the BIOS present on the card. In general however, its not likely you'll encounter a 5900XT --> 5900NU, 5900U or 5950U. Now if ur interested in doing some really major modding with the 5900XT then have a look at this guide http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/fx5900xt-modding_2.html

how much is it?
Ballpark price of the 66-series :)

i found out that i also need a new CPU, Like A new GHZ Speed thing...
Wuts the diff between like P4E and P4C and ETC? Why r some cheaper?
Also are there any difference between the mother boards : P4P800 SE and P4P800 E Delux?

**EDIT**
O yah can u also tell me where is the cheapest place to buy at? :)
Also, does newegg ship to CANADA?
