plasma or LCD

i want a new monitor for my computer plus im going to be using it as a tv aswell but its mainly going to be used with computer and when i get a nintendo wii im going to plug that up to it aswell my question is what should i get plasma or LCD pep say plasmas better for tv but lcd is beter for computer/console

Plasma is generally only better if you go 40" or above

im not a fan of plasmas,too many things can go wrong with them,i suggest LCD.

What are you talking about? He said 40" (40 inches).

If you want to read small text, you should get a high res computer LCD. LCD TV's generally dont have super high resolutions.

i say lcd

i say lcd i got a lcd and i am greatful to have it runs well and its simple to fix if you ever have a stuck pixel issue but hopefully you wont have nothing to worry about

lcd's have better defined pixels, and are generally higher resolution

plasmas have better contrast, better color, better viewing angles, better refresh times, and are cheaper per size

long story short, lcd for computer, plasma for tv

Some new LCD screens have 160 degrees viewing angles which is about same as Plasma

those are just the generalizations

obviously a GOOD lcd is going to be better than an OK plasma, and vice versa

I heard that if you put a plasma near a heat source it melts the stuff off the screen
