Players hanging

Hi.

Two of my media players, Power DVD and Winamp are not working (others are).


When trying to play a file with them or launching either application, they take minutes to launch, then hang (don't work).


I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling Winamp but the problem persists.


What could be the problem and how do i fix it? Thanks

Could be adware/spyware, run malwarebytes and see if it finds anything. Also, how long has it been since youve reinstalled windows?

Thanks for answer. Tried running malwarebytes but no real difference. Cheers
