Hi there. (Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm a newbie.)
A few years ago, when I signed up with an ISP, I received an Alaris QuickVideo Wee Cam. Nice little web cam right on top of my monitor. It worked great (on my old Windows 98 PC), and I made several (AVI) videos with my children. I was able to view them on that old PC using the Windows Media Player, version 7.1.
However, when I copied the videos to my new (current) PC (running XP), I am unable to see the video, although I can HEAR it! The bundled player is Windows Media Player 9.0, so perhaps the new WMP version needs additional codecs? I don't know which ones though, or where to get them. (I also tried to uninstall the 9.0 version, then replace it with the 7.1 version, but I'm unable to do so.)
Please help!

Please email any response to [email protected]

Thanks very much for any advice.

if you get a programme called gspot you can find out exactly what codec is required to play your movie.
