playing consoles on a moniter....

im looking for anything i can plug into my laptop (i have any type of port ex usb, etc...) that will allow me to plug my playstation 2's rca inputs in and then i can use my moniter as the screen as opposed to a tv... any ideas?

If I understand what you are talking about, I would imagine you need some RCA inputs... Like this:

well u dont always need those rca inputs. i beeive u can buy it where it coverts that rca to vga and u can play it on the monitor. but that might only be for the xbox 360.

What you need is a capture card of some sort. There are both USB and PCMCIA cards for laptops. One good/bad thing though, onboard buffers usally cause lags in video(like being 3 seconds behind) So you probably would want to stay away from such cards. This is good because such cards are cheaper, but bad because the cards are also not quite as capable and require more power from your computer.
 
ya i looked at those capture devices on new egg, but i was wondering if there was a particulair type that had no lag. i just dont want to have to lug a tv back to school.... maybe ill just get a flatpanel tele..
 
similair, but im more concerned with the video aspect of it, i have speakers i can plug into my ps2..
