playing mkv files issue

I've got a problem with playing videos on my website.I am checking my website on chrome and I have some mp4 and mkv video files and I am using jsplayer to play them. What happens is that when I open a page with mp4 video involved , it starts playing and idm(internet download manager) takes the video link as it does when you open a YouTube video page. But when I open mkv pages, idm grabs the link and doesn't*strong text* let the video to be played. If I disable the idm integration feature(uncheck capture downloads from the following browsers) ,the video will played just fine. Anybody knows any solutions or reasons for this? Thanks

Thank you very much for your suggestion , but using DivX Web Player is that the user needs to have the player plugin to play the videos and this is not really a very popular plugin that everyone has . so except this, do you have any other solutions in which I can play my video via flash or html5
