Playstation 2 problem

Hi there,
i know this dosent have much to do with computers but-

Does anyone know of an official Playstation 2 forum where a Technician or someone with Ps2 knowledge can help me out?

The problem started a few weeks ago when i tried to load my saved Gta san andreas game and it said Load failed?

So i started a new game in san andreas and saved it then when i went back on San andreas later it failed to load saved game again?

Its only San andreas that it does this on
My memory card saves all other games ok just not san andreas.

I have wiped the disk so it cant be that.

Hopefully i can get some help in here but if not can anyone provide me with a link to sort my problem out?

sounds like your PS2 memory card is dodgy. Get a phillips screw driver and take the card apart. Then get some plain paper and put it on the edge of a table. Get your memory card and put the connectiors on the edge !. Pull back on the card with one hand and hold the paper with the other. Repeat the process a couple of times. This will clean the connectors of the memory card. Ive had to do this before with a PS1 card. It worked for me. So its worth a try. Oh yeah try http://forums.afterdawn.com/ for PS2 tec support. Them guys are very helpfull :)
 
i did something similar with a ps1 memory card but i used metal polish to clean up the contacts. i would try it with a friend's memory card and see if it happens with their if possible.

No its still the same:(

It cannot be a doggy Memory card as any other game i save on it works perfect it Loads & Saves fine.

Im realy disapointed that ive lost all the data that i had playd on San andreas as i was quite far into the game.
 
Well my PS2 itself messed up, keped freezing or not loading maps. So I took it apart many times and threw it around my room for a while. And this worked but eventualy, alsas the following happened.
1. I snapped off the CD tray flap.
2. I broke the CD tray itself so it did not move.
3. Then I screwed in the circuit board too tight which made it crack.
4. To add insult to injury I then ripped out some connectling leads by accident :(.

Here is a poor quality picture off it (took it of my MSN myspace account). (BTW it is alot more damaged than that now lol.)



Well the moral of this story is PS2 stuff breaks, throw it around, then bash it, then use a vacume cleaner. If it doesnt work. BREAK it lol.

Although my memory card is indestructable, my mum put it through the washing machine and all that happened is they sticker came off, but worked fine and no data was lost :D
