Well here is my really tight budget build,

*Intel Pentium Wolfdale E6600 3.06ghz LGA 775 65watt Duel core

*BIOSTAR G41D3C LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

*G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333

That maxes my budget for now, I have a cheap gigabyte case, 450watt PSU, radeon sapphire x1650xt, DVD RW IED drive, and a seagate 40 gig sata harddrive for now.

I plan on shortly upgrading the harddrive, PSU, and graphics card to probably play diablo 3 and some other FPS like mw2, WAW, battlefield 2, and maybe battlefield 3 if I can.

Does this look good to you guys?
 
I wouldn't spend your money on a dead socket 775. You are better off going with something that can be upgraded easily. I would go with an AM3+ board and cpu.

You are better off saving more money now for an updated build then buy outdated technology and will have to end up paying again later to get the latest technology.

People say you can unlock to a quad core so I would be content with that, just a $75 Graphics card and a ok PSU and call it done, what do you thing? If not ill order the Intel sandy combo.
 
I ordered the stuff and the computers together. I was lucky and the 4th core unlocked, so now its a athlon x4 at 3.3ghz with no OC. I dont have a hard drive now because it crashed, so Im running ubuntu 64bit off a flashdrive. Ill post some pics when I get a hard drive. I also got a raidmax 530watt PSU, modular and blue leds so all I need is a graphics card now. Thats for everones help im lovin it!
