Im a bit ignorant about it:o.I hope I didn't make a mistake.
I updated most my drivers....I believe.I used driver genius and did a a couple manual searches.
I think my BIOS may need updated, never updated/flashed a BIOS before.
I heard when doing this, you can't go back to a previous.
I found my BIOS version once, but forgot how to get to it.

Edit:Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this. But I noticed OSs has some drivers needed.
Im not running a OEM OS.Its Vista 32b ultimate full.

what are the exact problems that you are having, causing you to go off searching for drivers? And dont trust driver genius. It said there was not Vista CCC for HP G61, and it comes strait from ATI.

also, what computer are you using, or at least what componets, Mobo brand, GPU model, and any other driver related hardware.

its that gateway laptop I have. Not really having much trouble. But I get irratated sometimes when seraching or waiting for a vid to buffer.
I ran my old tower at the same time to see if its just the sites, servers.
My laptop:
1gb RAM dual 1.6ghz cpu used:IE9
My tower:
P4 1.6 512mb RAM used IE8
I ran a same vid on youtube on both at the same time.
My tower has over half the vid buffered, while my laptop either doesn't buffer or does very small bits of buffering and doesn't come close to how fast my tower buffers the same vid.
and on facebook I have to hit refresh 3-4 times to get everything to load, while my tower does it the first time it loads.

I figure its got to be driver related.

that has more to do with the internet speed than drivers.

Key to drivers is not to update them unless the update has something fixed that pertains to your issue (like the newest CCC for the HD4200 added a higher memory capacity and higher max resolution (up from 1080p) )

if you run the same video at the same time, your desktop will take precedence to your laptop simply because its ran via the ethernet.

I doubt you woud need to update the Bios on a laptop. Unless there was a glitch with the original.

Now the drivers, why didnt you just go to Gateway site for the drivers instead of some driver update program?
