Please help!!! "access denied" to folder on slave drive.

My work computer just crash and I wasn't able to back up my data... So what I did was install a new primary and made the old drive a 2ndary. Main drive now is just an IDE the old drive is a Sata.

I'm using windows XP PRo SP2..... I'm able to access "ALL" other folder in this drive except for my End-User Folder. I need to go to the desktop folder to pull data out of there. I've tried using comand prompt from windows and get same result..... Is there a way I can get into this folder? Please help this is extremely urgent, I have tons of data that means a lot to me in this folder.

if you have a password on your login when you used to use it, then it'll be locked, the only way I know how to get into it is to turn the password for login off, which requires Windows to be working
 
you will have to take administrative possesion of the folder
in win explorer right click the folder, click sharing and security
then click security, then advance, then owner, highlight a user, check the box to replace on sub folders then hit ok / enter or whatever.
