Please help! Advice urgently needed!

First of all, hello!

Thankyou for checking out this post it's really appreciated. I am a student currently doing games design/animation/3D modelling etc. I need to get a desktop in order to do my college work at home but I am a complete idiot :o (or just really scared I'm going to get the wrong things) when it comes to getting a custom desktop (or any kind of desktop really!).

I need it to be able to run 3DS Max and other quite resource heavy programs seamlessly. The problem being, due to being a student, I have quite a limited budget. I need advice on everything, from the motherboard to fan controllers and everything.

I need answers ASAP really!

This is what I've chosen at the mo but it's a bit pricey, is there anything I could cut down on or..?
 
Or I can get this for £520.
