Well, I've never had this issue before and as far as I know nothing has changed. I haven't updated iTunes for exactly this reason, so the upgrades won't cause new issues. I've burned audio CDs before without this error, and now I'm getting it.
I did some research and the suggestion that seemed to work was to upgrade the drive's firmware, so I did that. I have a Samsung SH-S203N and I upgraded the firmware from SB01 to SB02. This did nothing and I still get the error.
I tried burning the disc with Windows Media Player, and it seemed to work but it was going really slow and the drive was making weird noises, so I got worried and canceled it. But this at least seemed to indicate that it's an iTunes issue more so than a firmware issue.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.
Edit: Upgrading iTunes also did not help.
