Please help! Looking for file / folder locking program.

I have Windows XP. I am looking for a freeware/ adware/ shareware program that will enable me to lock files and folders and require a password to access them. The program does not need to encrypt the files / folders, it just needs to lock them from being accessed without a password. Does anyone know of a program I could use?

WHich version of XP do you have? If you right-click the folder or file, hit Properties and Advanced, you can encrypt the contents and must have a password to decrypt, IIRC. Turn off Simple FIle Sharing and use the Security settings to restrict access. This may be a feature in XP Pro, only, though.
