Im looking into buying one of these netbooks. But everytime i start reading reviews i change my mind and my mind starts going crazy bc theres so many different opinions out there.. Basically i want the best one lol.. The most ram, a big hard drive, windows xp. I want it to replace my current laptop for the most part. To take to class to take notes and surf the web. Im not concerned about the price i just want to know which one performs the best.

This asus is the best on the market right now as far as the newest atom cpu, large HDD and battery life. All netbooks have the same amount of memory other than the Dell mini with ubuntu running 2 GB.

I'd recommend upping the ram to 2gb on either model, it's only like $20 for a DDR2 stick of notebook ram, and it's easy as sin to replace on the Asus netbooks.

Awesome.. Thanks, i think i can finally agree on that.. im bout to order one and the 2gb ram. Im using this inspiron 6000 right now with an intel celon m? with 512mb of ram(is that prehistoric?)...its pretty slow and annoying to use.... the asus will run faster than that right?

Yeah I saw the vaio p, thought it looked great but the battery life didnt look great and I hate vista, love the gps tho... but now u got me thinkin instead of a netbook the vaio sr ans z lookin like some new alternatives.. would one of those be a better decision?

If u want a gaming notebook Dell XPS are very good though a little overpriced.
Indeed they are pricey but rightfully so imo. Those are some high quality machines.
Though I also recommend the 1000HE for regular use with flexible battery life per charge.
