My laptop powercord ripped and I need a new one. Its pretty much 80 to 90 dollars in any store. Would anybody be able to help me find a cheap universal laptop powercord online. Thanks a lot.

No because the cheap universal ones are often crap that is under powered and will only damaged equipment. If you care about your laptop you will get a OEM replacement power brick.

What are you using as evidence for this statement? I have worked on many different laptops, and often I buy them without the power adapters. I always get a cheap one shipped from China for about $20, and I have never had a single problem. I would say that cheap power supplies are always a bad idea, but laptop power adapters are considerably more simple, all they have to do is output the correct voltage and amperage.

That being said, you can find cheap power adapters on eBay, which is where I always get mine.

same here.

I've seen more then a few people bring in computers that won't power out and they have some cheap 3rd party power adapter that's under voltage or can't maintain a constant voltage.

When u buy stuffs from ebay, that's when seller's reputation comes in handy.

Certainly if your buying something for yourself you can use what ever you want no big deal. When selling to a customer it's best to use only the best and avoid cheap parts it's just good practice that not all shops follow. I never buy any computer parts or anything else for that matter off ebay that can still be bought in a store. Again personally I have but I would never buy for a customer that way.
