id go with an AMD chip. the new fx-60 possibly but then again i am a AMD supporter and have only gone with them in my building of my last 4 PCS. Find it more reliable and quicker. Just my opinion.
The R600 is ATi's DX10 card which should be out by the end of January.

R600 will be released in March, not January
FX60 is a horrible CPU compared to core 2 duo or quad
Very nice processor, best out right now.Proccessor : Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme QX6700 2.66GHz 8MB Cache 1066MHz FSB
Either Pro or MCE would be a great choice.OS : Genuine Windows® XP Professional
Great RAM, but make sure it's compatible with your motherboard (voltage wise)Memory : 4GB DDR2 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 4 x 1024MB
Great choice.Harddrive: 150GB (2 x 150GB) Serial ATA 1.5Gb/s 10,000 RPM w/ 2 x 16MB Cache
Don't buy, extremely overpriced and with Vista you will need to buy a special monitor to watch the videos. Wait for them to get under $200.Primary CD ROM : 2x Blu-ray Disc (BD-ROM) Reader / Writer
Sounds good.Second CD ROM : 18x Dual Layer DVD±R/W Drive
Sweet setup, you will really enjoy itGraphics : Dual 768MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800 GTX - SLI Enabled
If you know how many amps it has, that would help out. But I've only seen 1KW PSU's with really high amperage, so you should be all set.Power Supply : 1000 Watt Multi-GPU ( not sure which brand )
Not many games support it, but its great for the future games.Physics Processing Unit : Ageia PhysX Processing Unit w/ 128MB GDDR3
I would go with the Fatal1ty FPS, only because you can install the front panel in your computer.Sound Card : Creative Sound Blaster® X-Fi® Elite Pro High Definition 7.1 Audio
